Goals
Purpose of this course is to improve the interactive presentations skills. Presentations in different situations will receive attention, but with an emphasis on scientific paper presentations. We require 100% participation, and serious preparation for the meetings.
Description
The course will be organised under guidance of METEOR fellow Piet Eichholtz and external communication expert Johan van Amersfoort.
Topics:

1. Course introduction, optimizing social interactive learning moments, exploration of interaction
2. Assessment prepared paper, current presentation skills of the participants
3. Getting conscious of obstacles in presentation
4. The participants will each give a short (non-scientific) presentation, which will be prepared during the day
5. Presentation and communication in special situations
6. Put into practice the practiced and discussed presentation and interaction skills
7. Dealing with interviews and the press
8. Follow up period of eight months in which you have to present a METEOR colloquium (afterwards there will be a one-to-one video analysis). This colloquium is the final oral exam.
