Description |
Marriage, social relations, the way people use their time, family life and religion are all important social phenomena. The performance of people in these social contexts has major consequences for society. These social phenomena were traditionally outside the scope of economists, but are increasingly entering their field of research. The course "Understanding Society" uses economic theories and empirical research to analyse these social phenomena. Students learn to understand and analyse a wide range of social phenomena from an economic point of view and to investigate and interpret these issues empirically.
