The aim of the World of Research skill is to facilitate students in their academic writing (e.g., when writing a master thesis, funding proposal, or academic article).
Students will therefore participate in a course organized by the Language Centre (June – skills period). In this course, students will write their own text, review literature, improve texts, practice advanced grammar and learn to identify typical features in published articles.

This course is complemented with a series of Library skills aimed at improving students' writing skills (e.g., workshops on the use of EndNote, literature search, increasing and measuring research impact, etc.). These workshops are organized in May.

After finishing this skills training, students will know how to:
Ø Review literature and assess its importance
Ø Use an academic writing style characterized by a clear structure and correct grammar
Ø Use EndNote
Ø Increase their research impact
