Description |
This course addresses the basic operational processes in manufacturing and logistics which together form the primary processes of the supply chain. It will address operational issues in transportation (routing, loading, modal choices), warehousing (order processing, design, value added logistics), manufacturing (TQM, planning). The course will give detailed attention to the operational processes, but also to (quantitative) tools as they are available to measure, define and improve the processes. This course lays the foundation for all subsequent supply chain related programmed content. This course addresses issues in running and optimizing processes, which mostly take place within a company in the supply chain.
