| Description |
As the landscape of work evolves, so do the challenges and opportunities organisations face when it comes to managing performance and innovation and navigating uncertainties that come with rapid technological change. Taking a Learning & Development (L&D) perspective, in this dynamic course, you will explore and address current challenges in the L&D field.
In this course, you will face three L&D challenges that professionals are currently working on in practice. In a team with your fellow students, you will learn to develop useful, sustainable, and evidence-informed approaches to complex and novel L&D problems. In working on these open challenges, you will translate insights from academic and practical research into feasible, actionable, and evidence-based L&D solutions. Each challenge is posed by an actual L&D professional, whom you get to pitch your ideas to and who will provide you with immediate and highly relevant feedback. You will then turn your favourite idea into a business case, teaching you how to convince leaders to invest in your proposal by presenting relevant information in a persuasive and accessible way. By the end of this course, you will be able to: - recognise and use relevant terminology in the field of Learning & Development practices in diverse organisational contexts - evaluate the credibility, relevance, and applicability of diverse information sources to inform the design of effective L&D solutions - develop innovative and relevant solutions to complex challenges in L&D using futures literacy and divergent thinking skills - critically assess and evaluate L&D strategies to address complex L&D challenges across diverse organisational contexts for effectiveness, ethics, and sustainability - co-create and persuasively communicate L&D solutions with peers and practitioners verbally and in writing. |
