Goals |
The primary objective of this skill is to let participating students get into touch with foreign financial markets and practices through a short international study tour. After finishing the skill, the students will have a notion of the financial working methods of companies abroad, the nature of the local financial markets, and the economic developments of the visited country.

Description |
This course provides a useful background for second and third year Bachelor students who are interested in topics about international and cultural differences in the global financial environment. The location of the tour will vary from year to year. This year it will be in Istanbul, Turkey. Participants will write a paper (either in a group or alone) concerning their key findings. The SCOPE Student Association is involved in organizing the trip.

This course is in transition for the bachelor Fiscal Economics.

TRANSITIONAL REGULATION (EBS2022): The bachelor Fiscal Economics has been discontinued. There will be repeat education for year 1 and year 2 courses up to and including academic year 2025-2026 and exam-only up to and including academic year 2026-2027. For year 3 courses there will be repeat education up to and including 2026-2027 and exam-only up to and including academic year 2027-2028. Whether a course is in transition, cancelled, or replaced may depend on the cohort you are in. Sometimes there are additional criteria. It is therefore very important to carefully read the EER and any addendum so you can apply the rules to your individual situation. PREREQUISITES: Skill is meant for IB/IBE Bachelor students, having done at least two Finance courses (one from year 1 and one from year 2). |
