Goals
The goal of this course is to provide students with a solid knowledge in their discipline of interest. The outcome of this course is: 1) Full comprehension of state-of-the-art knowledge within the discipline of interest and the ability to keep this knowledge up-to-date, and 2) Full understanding of scientific methods used in in business studies.
Description

The course Business Research Disciplinary Course 2 allows students to gain solid knowledge in their discipline of interest. They therefore should participate in one of the IB courses within their discipline of interest and participate in all course components of this course. Additionally, students are expected to write a paper on one of the papers that is discussed within the chosen IB course. In this paper they will discuss and compare various methodological alternatives (as discussed within the BR courses empirical analysis 1 and 2) to the empirical approach that is used within the chosen paper. The latter allows students to understand the consequences of choices of research design, data collection method, and empirical analysis within business research studies.
Literature
The literature used for this course is the same literature as is used within the IB course that is followed as a requisite for this course.
Prerequisites
All students who are admitted to the Master of Business Research can follow this course.
