Goals
Description
The intention of the R&D project is to give students a real first-hand experience with research. Students will get a societally relevant research question from one of the Brightlands campuses. In order to tackle this question they will need to apply and furthermore extend the knowledge they acquired in the mandatory and elective courses. The main goal of the R&D project is not only to develop a solution for a scientific or technological problem but also to get students familiar with the scientific process behind a research project. Students will execute their research plan and get hands-on lab experience. In the last phase of the project students will have to critically analyze their generated data and/or results. Furthermore the findings will have to be included in a scientific report and the students will have to communicate this report to the Brightlands Campus or company during a (poster) presentation. Research questions and projects can be extremely diverse since all Brightlands Campuses have a different focus although they can be seen in one of these categories: Material Science, Food Technology, Biomedical applications, Data Science & AI or Information Technology.
