An update from Kristof Bosmans (TLDR: Use Ask SBE): In response to questions and feedback by some of you, we have decided to broaden your options by also allowing you to take EBC2168 in period 5 instead of in period 2. That is, you have two options: Option 1: You take EBC2168 in period 5 in this academic year (2022-2023). In this case you can just register for the course by the registration deadline for period 5. So no need to take actions at this moment. This is very likely the best option for all of you. Option 2: You take EBC2168 in period 2 in this academic year (2022-2023), as described in the Education and Examination Regulations 2022-2023. This option has several downsides (for example, the learning materials somewhat deviate from what you have had in the previous years). So before you register for period 2, you must contact the course coordinator Marjon Weerepas, so that she can give you more information on the course content that will help you in making a good decision. If you then still decide to register for period 2, you must do so as described in my previous email. If you have already registered for period 2, but want to choose Option 1, then just deregister using Ask SBE. If there are any problems in doing so, then let me know and I will help with a solution. The old transitional rules: The following rule applies to bachelor Fiscal Economics students who started the programme prior to academic year 2020/21. TRANSITIONAL REGULATION (EBC2168): Students who did not pass the course EBC2168 can replace it with a course constructed on the basis of Belastingrecht voor Particulieren (TAX3011) and pass a partial exam in period 2; register using course code EBC2168. The following rule applies to bachelor Fiscal Economics students who started the programme in academic year 2020/21. TRANSITIONAL REGULATION (EBC2168): Students who did not pass the course EBC2168 can repeat it. Use Ask SBE to register for education (deadline is February 26, 23:59). See the Transitional Regulations section in the Bachelor Education and Examination Regulations for more information. |
