Description
This course/internship, EINT9032 Internship, is an alternative to EBP2001 Research Project. Both courses are equally important in the curriculum of BSc Business Analytics. The goal of the course/internship is to provide students experience in data analytic techniques and digitalization practices used by real-life companies.

In order to register for EINT9032 Internship:
* A student has to find an internship organization where the internship takes place.

Accepted as an intern? Congrats!
* Now do fill out the internship registration form. You can find this form (and more info) here: https://intranet.maastrichtuniversity.nl/en/school-business-and-economics-students/extra-study/em-internships-tip/regular-internships/bachelor-5. This step is important. Do not forget this!
• Once your internship has been official accepted by SBE – the Internship Office will check the overall requirements and Alexander Grigoriev needs to approve the academic content - the Internship Office will register you for EINT9032 Internship in the system.

During the course/internship, there will be one lecture for all students doing internships, two mid-term presentations, at least two meetings with academic supervisors, and a final presentation.

The lecture addresses the content, quality requirements and assessment methods of internship and its deliverables.
During the presentations, students reflect on importance of the project for the company, their own tasks and their own performance, and on the technical tools in use. An important part of such reflection is a literature review on the problems and solution methods related to the tasks assigned to the students.
The meetings with academic supervisors are to report on intermediate progress in the projects. By the end of the project, an internship report has to be handed-in. The report should include an introductory/general part, a description of the problems/tasks carried out during the internship, analytical techniques used, quality and impact of the output, reflection on the internship as well as the organization and your own performance. The report should also include a brief conclusion. By the end of the course, students make final presentations of their projects and achievements.

TIP!
If you are not yet sure, whether you find an internship and/or your internship will be accepted, it is best to register for the Research Project (EBP2001) on time. As soon as you know that the internship will be accepted, you can either de-register for the project yourself (before the registration deadline), or you can send the Internship Office an email with the request to cancel your registration for the project.
