Goals
This course provides a more formal background to financial system architecture, the industrial organisation of financial institutions and financial system regulation
Description
This course provides an introduction to research in Financial Economics. We start with the foundations of the industrial organisation of financial institutions, and build on that to introduce a range of topics including competition, the choice between market and bank financing, financial innovation and regulation and crises.
