| Description |
In this course, we focus on three extremely important real-world cases pertaining to the causes and consequences of problems of sustainability and resilience: i) climate change and natural hazards, ii) management of the global commons and iii) financial system fragility. In the first part of the course, each of the three cases is introduced using external experts as well as relevant literature. In the second part, students will work in teams on a research project in one of these areas. Depending on the project, they need to choose the appropriate empirical strategy and methods for the analysis.

| Prerequisites |
Exchange students need to have obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics. Students are expected to understand the key basic concepts from microeconomics and data analysis, as is taught in typical bachelor in economics programs. Analytical skills, understanding of excel, and an advanced level of English are required.
